Rajamani Lakshmi Narayan, India's new High Commissioner to Canada addressed Tall Ships Representatives and members of the media on board the Tall Ship Tarangini today.

Also in attendance were Commodore P Murugesan, Naval Attache at the Embassy of India, Washington DC; Rear Admiral S.P.S. Cheema, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff for the Indian Navy; and Commander Sunil Balakrishnan, Captain of the Tall Ship INS Tarangini.

High Commissioner Narayan spoke on Indo Canadian relations, Trade, the Indian Navy's relationship with the Canadian Navy, the importance of sail traning and recognized two Nova Scotia-based, Canadian officers who will be part of the Tarangini crew from Halifax to Spain.
